During a personal stream, Timur 'TpaBoMaH' (Trawoman)Khafizov explained why he decided against pursuing a professional gaming career.
He mentioned that his lack of interest in professional play stems from the intense dedication required. Khafizov, who has played at a high level and interacted with professional players, noted how demanding and stressful the scene can be. He highlighted that professional gamers must commit fully to the game and are entirely dependent on their performance. For instance, if he were to lose six games in a row during a stream, he could simply close Dota 2, relax, and enjoy other activities. However, for professional players, losing a series of matches can lead to severe consequences, such as being on tilt, facing team instability, and jeopardising their career.
Khafizov expressed that the pressure and potential negative impact on one’s career are significant deterrents. He questioned the benefits of being a professional player, emphasising that it’s not worth the stress and potential dissatisfaction, especially when enjoying the game in a more relaxed setting can be fulfilling.
Previously, Khafizov also shared his views on the performance of 1win in the grand final of Elite League Season 2.
