Unexpected winrate changes in patch 7.37e

Unexpectedly, Keeper of the Light's win rate has surged following the release of patch 7.37e. Among all heroes, only Keza saw a greater increase in win rate. Detailed statistics can be found on DotaBuff.

The most notable improvement came from Keza, whose win rate rose by approximately 4.47%, increasing from 45.1% to 49.56%. Following closely, Keeper of the Light experienced a 2.58% boost, climbing from 47.30% to 49.88%. Other heroes with notable increases include Outworld Destroyer (OD), Templar Assassin, and Anti-Mage.

Before the patch, Keeper of the Light was considered a "dead hero," with an extremely low pick rate, ranking 115th. However, with his improved win rate, his popularity in ranked matches has grown significantly. Interestingly, the hero received no buffs or adjustments in the patch that would explain this surge, yet his performance has markedly improved.

According to Team Spirit’s manager Korb3n, this meta is ideal for the playstyle of the world's best off-laners:

"Omniknight as an off-lane hero is great for climbing MMR because this is the meta for greedy off-laners, where you can dominate on heroes. Collapse took his vacation at the wrong time; this is exactly his meta."
