Valve fixed a bug with Divine Rapier on Meepo

Valve released a hotfix to address a critical bug with Meepo in Dota 2. Analyst Mark "sikle" Lerman of Team Spirit noticed the issue.

The bug appeared on the evening of July 2. It caused the Pack Rat aspect, which allows the character to place regular artifacts in the neutral slot, to malfunction. This aspect was not supposed to work on Divine Rapier, but the bug allowed this restriction to be bypassed.

To exploit this, players had to buy the artifact, drop it, completely fill Meepo's main inventory, and then pick the item up again. This caused it not to drop upon death, and its attributes were continuously applied to all Meepo clones.

The day before, Valve also fixed another issue with the Pack Rat aspect. It allowed players to infinitely generate gold. To do this, players had to place an item in the neutral slot and then create illusions. When the illusions disappeared or died, the artifacts would drop from each copy.
