Carry player Alimzhan "watson" Islambekov from Cloud9 shared his expectations for the 2024 Dota 2 International, which is being held in Denmark.
He expressed his aim to progress through the group stage, advance through the main event, and reach the grand final. Of course, winning the Aegis is the ultimate goal. He mentioned that his team had no issues with the group stage, recalling their performance at the Riyadh Masters 2024 where they finished as the top team in their group but struggled in the playoffs. He hoped that this time they would avoid similar issues.
The International 2024 takes place from 4th to 15th September in Copenhagen, Denmark, with 16 teams competing. The prize pool has exceeded $2.4 million and continues to grow through compendium sales.
