Support player Alexey 'Shishak' Ustinov from Nemiga Gaming explained on his stream the ranking positions necessary to begin receiving invitations from professional teams in Europe. He indicated that for tier-3 teams, players ranked around 500-600 may attract attention. He noted that individuals could even express interest in trying out for a team with a lower rank, and if they perform well, they might secure a position in a tier-3 team. Playing well in ranked matches could lead to opportunities with other teams, as players in the scene often take notice of talent.
For tier-2 teams, he stated that a rank of at least 200 is required, with higher rankings being preferable for core roles. When it comes to reaching out to teams, Shishak advised that one should wait for the right moment, such as when teams are reshuffling or in need of players, to contact acquaintances in the scene. Building connections is crucial, and being proactive in networking can be beneficial.
Shishak admitted that he is not the type to initiate contact, as he prefers to be invited rather than reach out himself. He has previously played for Team Secret in the FISSURE Universe: Episode 2 and in the qualifiers for Riyadh Masters 2024, where the team narrowly missed out on qualifying for the event in Saudi Arabia. He is currently competing with Nemiga Gaming in the CIS region.
