Team8, with Zhang "Xiao8" Ning, was eliminated from the second open qualifiers for China in ESL One Bangkok 2024 Dota 2. The team lost to Ascent Esports in the quarterfinals, ending their hopes of progressing to the closed qualifiers.
Xiao8 participated as a player for Team8. However, since 2018, Ning has been working as a coach and has only occasionally played as a stand-in in tournaments. At the time of writing, Xiao8 is listed as part of LGD Gaming, where he became the coach in September 2020. Ning previously mentioned that the team's roster was disbanded, though the organisation has not made an official statement on the matter.
The open qualifiers for China for ESL One Bangkok 2024 ran from November 11 to 14, divided into two stages. In each stage, participants fought for three slots in the closed qualifiers.
