Yatoro Responded to Fishman and Explained Why He Changed His Nickname to Raddan

Team Spirit carry Ilya "Raddan" Mulyarchuk (Yatoro) responded to Dmitry "Fishman" Polishchuk's request to change his nickname in Dota 2. The two-time International champion hinted that others should not interfere in his decisions.

"Fishman, thanks for the information and food for thought. I think I'll decide which nickname to use," Yatoro said.

Earlier, Fishman addressed Raddan, asking Mulyarchuk to revert to his previous nickname, under which he is known in the community. However, Polishchuk did not specify the reason for his dissatisfaction.

Yatoro also explained why he changed his nickname to Raddan on July 8. The esports player expressed a desire for variety but plans to return to his old pseudonym eventually.

"Hello everyone, as you know, I changed my nickname. I'll outline right away that I won't be using it permanently—when I get bored, I'll switch back to Yatoro. The reason for the change is simple: I wanted variety. Now my nickname in Dota is Raddan, but whether I'm a consul or the strongest of the split era, or 'rain all days Dota all night,' it's up to you to decide," Yatoro explained.

On July 7, Mulyarchuk decided to perform under the nickname Raddan. This information appeared on Valve's official website. He had already used this pseudonym in ranked games. In November 2023, he admitted that he would have chosen this as an alternative to Yatoro.
