Yatoro's departure will make Dota more monotonous

The support player from the Western European team Team Liquid, Aydin "iNSaNiA" Sarkohi, commented on the roster changes at Team Spirit in Dota 2. He expressed his sadness over the changes, noting that Team Spirit had played uniquely, perhaps only comparable to Xtreme Gaming. He described the team as having adopted an old-school 4+1 style, adapted for modern gameplay, and lamented the loss of such a top-tier team.

He mentioned that many had looked up to Yatoro's playstyle and aspired to emulate it. With his departure, only players like skiter, dyrachyo, and miCKe remain, who are more active carries. He warned that the absence of players who push the hard-carry meta could lead to more uniform gameplay, potentially stifling the evolution of the game.

Earlier, he shared his thoughts on the significance of winning The International 2024 in Denmark. He reflected on his age and how thoughts of retirement had crossed his mind annually. He felt immense satisfaction in achieving his long-held goal of winning a TI, stating that it brought him a sense of fulfilment.

He recalled that around six or seven years prior, he had set out to win TI and had devoted considerable time and effort to that aim. Achieving this milestone made him content with his decision to pursue Dota. Even if he had retired without winning, he would still have been proud of his journey. He conveyed that winning TI felt like a weight had been lifted from his shoulders and emphasised that he did not feel the need to win another TI or to be recognised as the greatest player. It was a personal achievement for him, and he found it gratifying to retire knowing he had reached his goal.
