Tundra's manager, Ludwig "zai" Wåhlberg, shared his impressions of working with the team at ESL One Birmingham 2024 in Dota 2. The former esports player assisted the team with draft analysis.
"All the main issues and analyses go through MoonMeander. After the match, we all discuss the drafts together, figuring out what we liked and what we didn't, and discussing whether the picks were good. The process of debriefing is quite lengthy, but MoonMeander handles it all well. <...>
At this tournament, I saw the team live for the first time, trying to blend into the group, and observing how everything works together. There have been some changes in the lineup, and we have plenty of newcomers. So, I'm observing how players interact with each other, and with the management. And just being back at LAN. The feelings are quite strange, but so far, it's fun." - Ludwig "zai" Wåhlberg
In the fall of 2023, zai paused his appearances on the professional scene. This happened after Team Liquid secured 5-6th place at The International 2023. In February 2022, Wåhlberg joined Tundra as a manager. This is the former esports player's first managerial position in his career.
ESL One Birmingham 2024 took place in April. Participants competed for a million dollars and EPT ranking points, necessary for qualification for Riyadh Masters 2024. Tundra finished third at the tournament, earning $120,000 and 4,000 points.
