The organizers of 1win Series Dota 2 released an official statement regarding the ban of their channels on Twitch. They do not know the reason for the block but intend to continue streaming tournaments on the platform in the future.
The organizers submitted several appeals and contacted Twitch representatives through all available channels. To avoid recurring problems, the Russian-language broadcast of the playoffs will be on YouTube and Kick.
1win Esports stated, "We are not interested in violating Twitch's rules or engaging in any unlawful actions. We saw significant interest in our tournaments from the community, as evidenced by high viewership numbers in both the first and second events. Therefore, we want to create content on Twitch without breaking any regulations."
Vladimir "Maelstorm" Kuzminov suggested that the repeated block might be related to circumventing the first violation. The initial cause of the ban remains unknown.
The 1win Series Dota 2 Summer runs from June 27 to June 30 online. Participants are competing for $100,000, with the winner taking half of the prize pool.
