26 Most Important Changes of the Huge 7.37

1. Ability Icons Update: The descriptions for abilities now include icons for values affected by Bloodstone and other area-of-effect (AoE) increasing effects. This quality-of-life change makes it easier to see these effects in-game, even though AoE mechanics have been present for a while.

2. Roshan Drops Update: After the second death of Roshan, he will always drop Roshan’s Banner. After the third death, Roshan will drop either a Refresher Shard and Aegis (during the day) or a Refresher Shard and Aghanim’s Blessing (at night). This change could further speed up games, similar to the fast pace demonstrated by Gladiators in Riyadh—no more long games!

3. Teleportation Time Adjustment: The teleportation time to Roshan’s outposts has been reduced from 6 to 4 seconds. This adjustment improves gameplay by making it easier to intercept enemies and return to lanes, and it also benefits Roshan's defence, especially after buybacks.

4. Exhaustion Mechanics Update: The rules for how exhaustion affects various aspects and abilities have been updated:

   - Abilities that are partially or fully disabled by exhaustion now include a “Disabled by Exhaustion: Yes” label in their descriptions.

   - Abilities partially disabled by exhaustion now have explanations shown when pressing the Alt key.

   - This change is particularly useful for those who tried to disable Phantom Lancer’s evasions with Silver Edge in the previous patch.

5. Ability Behaviour Changes: Numerous abilities have had their behaviour altered when blocked or reflected. These are significant changes, and the full list should be reviewed in the complete patch notes.

6. Bracer Changes: Bracer now provides +50/100 health instead of +3/6 damage. This change makes the item less appealing to core heroes and universal heroes, likely leaving it as a less popular choice for support.

7. Shadow Amulet Changes: The Shadow Amulet's Fade ability has been significantly altered:

   - Targets no longer need to remain stationary.

   - Cooldown no longer resets when used on oneself.

   - Invisibility now slows the target by 35%.

   - The effect can be dispelled.

   - Cooldown increased from 7 to 18 seconds.

   - Duration decreased from 15 to 3.5 seconds.

   - The amulet now provides various interesting options, potentially useful as a save before completing a Glimmer Cape.

8. Urn of Shadows and Spirit Vessel Recipes Updated:

   - Urn now builds from Sage’s Mask, Ring of Protection, Fluffy Hat, and a 280 gold recipe. It no longer provides +2 to all attributes but gives +125 health instead.

   - Vessel now builds from Urn of Shadows, Vitality Booster, and a 300 gold recipe. It no longer provides +6 to all attributes but adds +375 health.

   - Urn and Vessel are now strictly supported items and are less suitable for cores or universal heroes.

9. Iron Talon Returns: Iron Talon is now a tier-2 neutral item that provides +20 attack speed and +4 armour. Its active ability, Chop, deals 80% of an enemy’s current health as damage. It also still destroys trees when used on them. While its relevance may decline after the 17th minute for cores, it will still be useful for support for farming.

10. Philosopher’s Stone Changes: The Philosopher’s Stone now has 750 charges. Each time it grants gold to its owner, it uses a charge. Once charges are depleted, the item disappears and the owner receives 375 gold. This item appears less valuable compared to Iron Talon.

11. Ogre Seal Totem: This item is now a tier-4 item, which is a much-needed change. During jumps, the hero can now change direction, though at a reduced turning speed.

12. Bristleback’s New Aspect: Seeing Red allows Bristleback’s ultimate to be activated to increase attack damage and movement speed bonuses by 50% for each effect. In this state, the hero only sees a 90-degree cone in front of them, offering a new Warpath-like experience.

13. Death Prophet’s New Aspect: Mourning Ritual causes the hero to receive 20/30/40/50% of damage over 5 seconds in 1-second intervals. This seems like a powerful addition, akin to Admiral’s permanent ship.

14. Doom’s New Aspect: Impending Doom increases the duration of Doom by 0.66 seconds every 6.66 minutes. The damage per second has been reduced from 30/50/70 to 30/45/60. While not overwhelmingly powerful, it shows Icefrog’s sense of humour.

15. Enchantress’s New Innate Ability: Rabble-Rouser increases the damage dealt by neutral creeps to enemy heroes. The damage bonus is 10% + 3% per ability level. This could potentially disrupt enemy farming in the jungle.

16. Admiral’s Torrent Storm Removed: Instead, with Aghanim’s Scepter, the ultimate now summons a fleet of 2 ghost ships that shoot projectiles to either side. This change seems questionable given the previous strength of Torrent Storm.

17. Luna’s Major Rework: Lunar Blessing is now an innate unupgradable ability that boosts nearby allies' attack damage by 1 per ability level and doubles the effect on Luna. At night, it works across the entire map and increases vision by 400 + 20 per level. The Glaives component is now a separate ability, Lunar Orbit, and Moon Glaives can no longer be activated. This rework positions Luna as a strong early-game presence in the current tempo-carry meta.

18. Lycan’s New Aspect: Alpha Wolves increases the maximum level of Summon Wolves by 2 and reduces the level of Howl and Feral Impulse by 1. This could make Lycan’s wolves more powerful with new summons.

19. Medusa’s New Ability: Gorgon’s Grasp is similar to Gyro’s ultimate but fires arrows instead of missiles and petrifies rather than slows. The shield is now a passive innate ability.

20. Omniknight Buffs:

   - Hammer of Purity is now an attack modifier, dealing both attack damage and pure damage simultaneously. It cannot be stolen and does not charge sticks.

   - Guardian Angel is now point-targeted and affects all allied units within a 400 radius. It no longer has 2 charges.

   - These changes make Omniknight support more viable and formidable on the lane.

21. Primal Beast’s Ferocity Buff: The aspect now increases the range of all abilities and items by 20% with each ultimate hit. This synergises well with Aghanim’s Scepter and Shiva's Guard.

22. Sand King Nerf: The old Aghanim's Scepter has been removed, and replaced with an unclear new version. Stinger now charges Sticky Napalm. This is a significant nerf for the scorpion hero.

23. Silencer’s Intelligence Steal: The permanent intelligence steal has been reduced from 2 to 1 (from Aghanim’s Shard, from 4 to 3). Intelligence is now stolen even if the enemy dies outside the steal radius, but has negative effects from the Silencer. This improves the ability to get assists and intelligence with Global Silence.

24. Barathrum’s Bull Rush: Acceleration now depends on additional speed at the end of the charge rather than the maximum bonus. The initial acceleration has been reduced to 25%, with a gradual speed increase. This prevents Barathrum from escaping any situation after a Charge.

25. Sven’s Warcry Nerf: The additional armour has been reduced from 6/9/12/15 to 6/8/10/12. The Shard now provides bonus movement speed only when applied, not passively. The nerf was necessary as Sven was a top-tier support in the previous patch.

26. Templar Assassin’s Traps: They no longer provide vision inside Roshan’s lair. Instead, TA now has a new innate ability that shows the Roshan respawn timer to the hero and allies. This change might seem trivial, as experienced players already know Roshan's respawn timings.
