Arteezy Leaves Shopify Rebellion and Takes a Break from Competing
Carry player Artour "Arteezy" Babaev has left the roster of Shopify Rebellion in Dota 2. The esports player announced this on the social media platform X.
Arteezy has decided to take a short break from competitive play to focus on streaming and playing Dota 2. He also expressed a desire to move to Europe to continue his career, though he is not ready to make long-term plans.
Babaev had been playing for Shopify Rebellion since the team's entry into the discipline in December 2022. The team's main achievement during this time was a second-place finish at DreamLeague Season 21, earning them $120,000. The roster failed to qualify for The International 2024, marking the first time Arteezy will miss the main event in his career.
The next event for Shopify Rebellion will be the FISSURE & ESB Elite League 2024 Season 2, taking place from July 25 to August 8 in the capital of Peru. The participants will compete for a million dollars, with $200,000 distributed based on match viewership. Cristian "Pakazs" Casanova will replace Babaev for this tournament, and Jonas "SabeRLight-" Volek will also return to the team.
