Miposhka entered the eSportsmen hall of fame
The organisers of the Russian Video Game Hall of Fame have announced the latest inductees, recognising individuals and games that have left an indelible mark on the industry. In 2024, the Hall expanded to include esports categories for the first time, with three legendary Dota 2 players among the honourees.
Esports Legends Honoured
In the new "Legendary Esports Players" category, three iconic names from Dota 2 were recognised for their achievements:
- Yaroslav "NS" Kuznetsov – Renowned player, analyst, and pioneer of Russian esports.
- Aleksei "Solo" Berezin – Captain of some of the most successful CIS rosters and a symbol of perseverance in the Dota 2 scene.
- Yaroslav "Miposhka" Naidyonov – TI10 champion and a key figure in the resurgence of CIS teams on the global stage.
This recognition highlights their lasting contributions to the growth and success of esports in Russia and beyond.
Legendary Games and Personalities
The Hall of Fame also honoured classic video games and influential industry figures in two other categories:
Legendary Games:
- Allods Online – A cornerstone of Russian MMORPG history.
- Heroes of Might and Magic V – A beloved strategy game with deep ties to the Russian gaming community.
- Rig’n’Roll (Truckers 2) – A cult-favourite driving simulator cherished for its unique gameplay.
Legendary Personalities:
- Ilya "Maddyson" Davydov – A gaming content pioneer whose influence transcends platforms.
- Nikita Buyanov – Key figure behind Escape from Tarkov, a global success.
- Yuri Miroshnikov – Veteran developer and visionary in the Russian gaming industry.
