B8 May Freeze Its Dota 2 Division
B8 Esports may temporarily exit Dota 2, according to former professional player Bauyrzhan "lilskrip" Bisembaev, who is permanently banned by Valve and PGL for match-fixing. He shared this information on Telegram.
Bisembaev learned about the situation from the team's coach, likely referring to Andrey "Mag" Chipenko, who has been the Dota 2 roster's mentor for about a year. According to him, the club has faced financial difficulties and will focus on CS 2 and Valorant teams for now. B8 representatives have not made official announcements or commented on the rumors.
B8 had a disastrous first half of 2024, failing to qualify for any major tournaments and earning only $2,500 in prize money from tier-3 events over six months. The team also failed to qualify for Riyadh Masters 2024 and The International 2024.
