Blacklist International has disbanded its Dota 2 roster

The esports organisation Blacklist International has announced the closure of its Dota 2 division. This information was shared via the club's social media channels.

Blacklist International stated that the organisation had decided to "reconsider its future in the scene" due to the constantly shifting landscape of the professional Dota 2 ecosystem. All players on the roster, including coach Doo Young "DuBu" Kim, have become free agents. The future destinations of the players are yet to be revealed, although position four supports Timothy "Tims" Randrup had recently transferred to BOOM Esports before the disbandment.

In August 2024, the team qualified for the PGL Wallachia 2024 Season 2 tournament, scheduled for 4–13 October. At the time of the announcement, the fate of the slot remains unknown.

Blacklist International entered the professional scene in 2022. Although the team never qualified for The International series, they competed in several other championships. According to Esports Earnings, the organisation accumulated around $244,000 in earnings from the MOBA title.
