Blitz Reveals How Team Liquid Wanted to Sign Faith_bian, But Was Refused

During a joint Twitch stream with Austin 'Capitalist' Walsh, Team Liquid's coach William 'Blitz' Lee revealed that the team had considered signing Zhang 'Faith_bian' Ruida.

Blitz shared that they had been evaluating several candidates, with their top priority initially being a player from France. At one point, they even brought Faith_bian to their base and treated him exceptionally well. This visit took place before The Lima Major 2023, and they hoped he would join them. During his visit, he spent some time there, engaged in training, and enjoyed himself. Blitz then invited him to meet with the founder and co-owner of the organisation and inquired whether he was interested in joining their team. Faith_bian responded positively about his time with them, appreciating their philosophy and approach, but ultimately expressed that professional Dota was not for him. Blitz accepted his decision at the time.

Later, during The International, Blitz reached out to him again, extending one final offer in hopes that he might reconsider. However, Faith_bian declined once more. To Blitz's surprise, shortly after, Faith_bian signed with a team from China. 

In 2022, Faith_bian announced his retirement from professional play, but he resumed his career in 2023 and is currently competing for a team from China.
