"Budget Yatoro" and Trash Spirit
Off-laner of Team Falcons, Ammar "ATF" Al-Assaf, made unflattering comments about the members of Team Spirit during a Dota 2 matchmaking game.
In that match, ATF played Tidehunter against Alan "Satanic" Galyamov on Alchemist, Abdimalik "Malik" Saylau on Doom, and his teammate Stanislav "Malr1ne" Potorak on Magnus. Interestingly, on ATF's team was Miroslav "Mira" Kolpakov, who had left Team Spirit's starting roster and was now inactive.
The chat log was preserved on Dotabuff, though due to a bug, the hero assignments were mixed up. ATF’s words were shown under the Jakiro icon. In one message, he claimed to be the best Tidehunter player. He also referred to Satanic as a "budget Yatoro" and said that he couldn’t lose to such a player in a 1v1. Additionally, he expressed surprise that Malik was at a high rank, rather than at the 500th spot on the European ladder. ATF even briefly referred to Team Spirit as “Trash Spirit.”
This game took place immediately after the incident in which ATF threatened Gleb "kiyotaka" Zyryanov with physical harm. Following that situation, the esports player had to apologise due to community backlash and a complaint from BetBoom Team manager Luka "Lukawa" Nasuashvili to Falcons coach Kurtis "Aui_2000" Ling. According to Al-Assaf, he often chats with Zyryanov, so he considers these remarks as friendly banter during matchmaking.
