Bug in Dota 2: Keeper of the Light's new ability, Mana Magnifier, endlessly restores allied mana
Players encountered a critical bug in Dota 2 after the release of patch 7.36. It is related to Mana Magnifier, the new innate ability of the Keeper of the Light.
The passive skill of KotL increases the base mana pool of all allies by 15% when they are near him. This also increases the current mana amount. If allies move out of this area, the base bonus disappears, but the current mana remains elevated. And if they return to the area, they can again receive the bonus, thereby restoring mana for free. Chen had a similar issue with a health bonus from the summoned Golem.
Update 7.36 was released on the night of May 23, 2024. Dota's gameplay has been greatly refreshed. Now, each character has a passive ability, and before the match, you can choose an aspect — this can change the hero's style or abilities. Developers also launched the second act of the «Fallen Crown» event and introduced a new treasure trove.
Other bugs and errors hindered the smooth release of the update. Among other things, players couldn't connect to the match after finding it, and in the Dota main menu, the map of the second part of the «Fallen Crown» was incorrectly displayed.
