Eiritel Weighs In on OG's Potential Disqualification from TI13 Qualifiers Amid Controversy Over Stand-Ins

Caster Daria "Eiritel" Morozova shared her thoughts on OG's potential disqualification from the closed qualifiers for The International 2024 (TI13) in Dota 2. She expressed her views in a post on her Telegram channel.

"It's an interesting situation, for sure. I wouldn't be surprised if PGL's strictness stems from OG's history of numerous substitutions, especially when Ceb played for two different teams during the DPC season. Back then, he also cursed the tournament organizer for not allowing extra stand-ins beyond the limit."

"It's unfortunate that this isn't just a random DPC match but a TI qualifier. Maybe the qualifiers don't mean much to Ceb himself, but his teammates clearly have something to fight for. A technical loss would effectively mean disqualification," reported Daria "Eiritel" Morozova.

Previously, Sébastien "Ceb" Debs missed the match against Entity Gaming due to his wife's childbirth, with Alexander "Immersion" Khmelevskoy stepping in. As a result, OG faces a potential technical defeat in their upcoming match against NAVI Junior and subsequent disqualification from the qualifying cycle for violating tournament rules. As of the time of this news, PGL has not released their final decision.

The closed qualifiers for The International 2024 for Western Europe are being held online from June 19 to June 23. Teams like Tundra Esports, Team Secret, and others are competing for two spots in the main event of the World Championship.
