Entity Can't Hold On at Riyadh Masters 2024

Entity's journey at Riyadh Masters 2024 ended in the Lower Bracket Round 1 of the playoffs, thanks to BetBoom. 

Day two of the playoffs was all about eliminations – three in total. Fans saw Weibo.Xtreme Gaming crushed Aurora 2:0 earlier. The action then moved to Western Europe vs. Eastern Europe, with Entity facing BetBoom. BetBoom, who had barely survived the group stage, found themselves in the lower bracket. Entity started in the upper bracket but fell after a defeat by Gaimin Gladiators.

Despite BetBoom's earlier struggles, they finally showed the kind of performance expected from them.

In the first match, BetBoom picked Grimstroke, a hero with an abysmal win rate, but one that works well with SandKing and Weaver. The hard execution lineup wasn't an issue for BetBoom, who dictated the pace early on, leaving Entity in recovery mode. BB Team's warding gave them full vision, making it an easy game for their cores, leading to a one-sided affair to take the first match.

Entity's coach came out for Game 2, stating they had fixed their issues and had a stronger laning phase. They last-picked Ember Spirit, a hero with a solid history, and managed to tie up the series.

In the deciding game, BetBoom first picked Weaver, the only hero that had won both games and a series meta hero. Early on, they controlled the pace, with Danil "gpk" Skutin delivering his best game of the event. The CIS team reawoke and crushed Entity in the last game to take the series victory.

Entity’s journey at Riyadh Masters 2024 ends in 9th-12th place with $100,000, with TorontoTokyo crushing their tournament medal.

BetBoom will continue in the lower bracket to face off against Xtreme Gaming on Friday, July 19th. They have secured at least a top 8 finish. The action continues with another elimination series in the lower bracket.
