Fng on Bane: "Bane Isn't a Hero Focused on Winning the Lane"

Artem "fng" Barshak, a member of the Eastern European team Virtus.pro from Belarus, shared his insights on the Dota 2 hero Bane during a personal Twitch stream.

Fng remarked, "I can't really call Bane a strong laner. Bane isn't a hero that dominates or has a significant power spike. For example, unlike Clockwerk or Crystal Maiden, where reaching level three almost guarantees a kill, Bane's gameplay revolves around a continuous exchange of resources with the opponent. Success often comes down to outplaying your opponent in terms of using Healing Salves, mana management, and regeneration. If you manage these aspects better, you might find an opportunity to secure a kill."

He elaborated, "Bane isn't a hero that aims to win the lane outright. Instead, his role is more about securing a farm for the carry, gaining experience, and utilizing pulls to farm. Around the 5-6 minute mark, Bane can start roaming the map. With abilities like 'Nightmare' and being relatively tanky with items like Circlet and Magic Wand, giving him around 850 HP, plus the 160 HP gain from 'Brain Sap', Bane becomes durable enough to make impactful plays and not just sit idle waiting for items."

Earlier, during his Twitch stream, Barshak also shared his feelings about playing in Dota 2 matchmaking.
