Maroun "GH" Merhej, the support player for Nigma Galaxy, discussed in an interview during DreamLeague Season 24 how his gameplay has changed following his position switch.
"The most significant change for me right now is focusing on warding. The differences between the 4th and 5th positions are substantial, as about 50% of my gameplay now involves warding and de-warding. Sometimes, this becomes quite challenging for me because I don’t know the timers and other details. I need to keep training and working hard.
I feel fairly confident in the laning stage, and my rotations are fine. It’s just a slightly different set of heroes, and warding has its nuances. Sometimes I have to take on tasks typical for a 4th position player, which I enjoy, but I’m still focused on warding. It drains a lot of energy, and after the match, I feel exhausted. However, after about 30 minutes, I recover my strength."
DreamLeague Season 24 takes place online from October 27 to November 10, with a total prize pool of one million USD to be shared among 16 teams.
