Gunnar's dream was to play in front of a crowd at TI

In an interview, Nico "Gunnar" Lopez from the North American team Nouns spoke about his team's exit from The International 2024.

He expressed a strong desire to make it to the stage of The International, reflecting on how special it was to compete on the main stage last year. Not being able to reach the stage matches this year disappointed him, as he had hoped to play alongside Copy and Yuma in front of the audience.

Lopez noted that the team had worked hard together and grown stronger throughout the tournament. He remarked that they are a different team now compared to a week ago and expressed hope that this is just the beginning, with the team continuing to improve.

The International 2024 is being held from 4 to 15 September in Copenhagen, Denmark, with 16 teams participating. The prize pool for the tournament exceeds $2.5 million and continues to grow through compendium sales.
