Illidan Explains Why He Dropped to the Top 1000 in Dota 2

Team Spirit streamer Ilya “Illidan” Pivtsaev shared why he dropped in the Dota 2 ladder. He finds the game less interesting now, leading to slower progress.

“You used to be in the top 10 of the ladder, but now you're in the top 1000. Is your skill declining with age? I don't learn as quickly as those who still enjoy the game. At the very least, it's not that I've gotten worse, but rather that others have improved significantly. The main factor is that I'm not as interested in Dota as I used to be. I use my knowledge to watch games, not to play,” explained Ilya “Illidan”Pivtsaev.

Previously, Pivtsaev commented on the release of patch 7.36 for Dota 2, finding it amusing that the community requested the update but still ended up dissatisfied. More details can be found on our website.

In March, Illidan defended Valve, arguing that there are far worse developers in the industry, citing Blizzard and EA as examples.
