Illidan: "In the CIS, There's Only One Tier-1 Team — Team Spirit. BetBoom Team Doesn't Measure Up"

Dota 2 streamer Ilya "Illidan" Pivtsaev stated that only Team Spirit can be considered a top-tier team in Eastern Europe. He believes the t Team doesn't deserve that status.

"The European region stands out with its level of play. In the CIS, there's only one team that can be considered tier-1 — Team Spirit. BetBoom Team doesn't measure up. I'd say they're somewhere between tier-1.5 and tier-2. For all other teams, in my opinion, making it to the top eight of any LAN tournament is already a good result. With their crazy instability, one shouldn't expect more," Pivtsaev expressed.

Spirit and BetBoom will play in the group stage of the Riyadh Masters 2024. The first opponents of the teams will be known no earlier than July 7, after the play-in stage concludes.

Earlier, Tundra Esports stand-in Roman "RAMZES" Kushnarev listed the favorites of the first stage of Riyadh Masters 2024. They were Aurora Gaming and Blacklist International from Southeast Asia.
