Korb3n advised Maelstrom to change his nickname to Mao Zedong
Dmitry 'Korb3n' Belov, the manager of Team Spirit, commented on Vladimir 'Maelstorm' Kuzminov's statements regarding the different penalties for violations at Clavision: Snow Ruyi and Bali Major 2023.
Belov noted that Kuzminov was clearly out of touch and would need the chronology of events from Bali Major explained once again. He highlighted that the organisers took over 12 hours to issue a verdict, changing their final decision twice within two-hour intervals. Belov criticised the complaints from the team Azure Ray as unfounded and challenged Kuzminov to point out any contradictions in his statements.
Regarding the laws, Belov described Kuzminov’s analogy as poor, suggesting that it could be simplified further by comparing it to using a controversial nickname in an ESL tournament versus one in Clavision, where different tournament operators have distinct rules. He emphasised that different tournament organisers have different rules and penalties, which he found odd that others did not understand.
Previously, Kuzminov compared the recent penalty given to a player for stream-watching during a match at Clavision: Snow Ruyi with the penalty imposed on another player at Bali Major 2023. Belov dismissed this comparison as nonsensical, citing the variation in rules between different tournament operators. Additionally, it was revealed that a player had used a controversial nickname in Steam, prompting the organisers of Clavision: Snow Ruyi to request its removal, even in unofficial matches.
