Korb3n recalled an incident with young troublemakers amidst the Fishman and 9Class conflict

Team Spirit manager Dmitry "Korb3n" Belov commented on the conflict between Dmitry "Fishman" Polishchuk and Edgar "9Class" Naltakyan at Riyadh Masters 2024 in Dota 2. He hopes the esports players can return the quarrel to a regular in-game beef.

"I remember, about five years ago, driving in the summer with the windows open. A group of 12-14-year-olds was walking down the road, which I honked at, they moved to the side at a turtle's pace, and then collectively shouted a curse word and many other harsh insults at my back. Because of the open windows, I heard, stopped, and got out."

"And you approach them all angry and suddenly realize that, unfortunately, you can't hit them. They know this perfectly well, and they don't want to call their dads. The tilt was strong. It was good in my youth. Nothing to lose, you live as you want."

"So regarding the Fishman and 9Class conflict, I can't say anything. No idea who's at fault. Physical violence is a phenomenon, not in the context of their situation, which I don't condemn. So I don't care. I hope they translate everything from real life back into Dota, and we'll get a new great rivalry with a story," expressed Dmitry "Korb3n" Belov.

Team Spirit is preparing for its first match. The team entered the upper bracket, where they will face Team Liquid. The match is scheduled for 19:00 MSK on July 16.

The public conflict between 9Class and Fishman began during the qualifiers for The International 2024. During the Riyadh Masters 2024, the quarrel escalated. Entity's captain insulted Naltakyan, flicked his forehead, and pulled his shoulder. According to Polishchuk, the situation could have led to disqualification. Most community members condemned the physical altercation. You can read more about this in the notes below.
