Team Spirit midlaner Denis "Larl" Sigityov explained why 1win picked Morphling as "position four" in the semifinals of the 1win Series Dota 2 Summer. He believes the hero is suitable for this position but requires understanding the opponent's draft.
"I think people are currently picking Morphling on 'position four' incorrectly. The hero has potential, but you need to see all the opponent's characters. You need to understand who you can transform into to be really useful with your abilities."
"Isn't the concept about the stun of Morphling? After transforming, you have very low cooldowns on abilities. If you buy Octarine Core, conditional spells on Tiny have 3-4 second cooldowns. That's the simplest example. It's undoubtedly strong."
The Morphling pick didn't help 1win win. Team Spirit defeated them 2:0 and advanced to the grand final of the tournament, where they will face the Gaimin Gladiators. The match will start at 5:00 PM MSK on June 30.
The 1win Series Dota 2 Summer runs from June 27 to June 30 online. Participants are competing for $100,000, with the winner taking $50,000.
