Maelstorm on Virtus.pro: "What Competitive Roster? Are They Disbanding Already?"

Commentator Vladimir "Maelstorm" Kuzminov responded passionately to Virtus.pro’s statement following their failure to qualify for The International 2024 in Dota 2. He interpreted the publication as hinting at a possible disbanding of the team.

"Apologizing to the fans is fine," assured Maelstorm. "But why do these apologies come across as if they're for some immoral act, rather than just losing in the qualifiers? Losses happen, but it feels like they were doing something completely unrelated to preparing for the matches. Or is there something we don’t know?"

He continued, "You guys made it to the Riyadh Masters 2024, which is almost as significant as TI. What do you mean by 'competitive roster'? Are they disbanding already, or what?"

On June 16, Virtus.pro was defeated by the L1GA Team in the lower bracket of the Eastern Europe closed qualifiers for The International 2024, with a score of 0-2, losing their last chance to participate in the world championship. The team finished in 7th-8th place in the regional qualifiers.
