Mid-laner is the stupidest position

Ukrainian esports player Ilya "Lil" Ilyuk shared his thoughts on the role of mid-lane in modern Dota 2 during a personal Twitch stream.

He expressed that the mid-lane is currently the least impactful position, with no significant difference in MMR. He noted that to make a difference, one would need to dominate the lane. The mid-lane role mainly involves pushing the lane, farming with skills, controlling runes, and stacking the jungle. If things go poorly, the player can just move to the jungle. He pointed out that while the mid-lane used to rely heavily on skill, this is no longer the case.

Earlier, Ilyuk had also complained about the low quality of games in Dota 2 matchmaking on his personal Telegram channel.
