BetBoom Team offlaner Matvey "MieRo" Vasyunin experienced a nosebleed during a match against PSG Quest at Riyadh Masters 2024 in Dota 2. The incident occurred during the second map of the match.
The game was stopped twice due to the player's health issues. Team manager Luka "Lukawa" Nasuashvili explained that Vasyunin started having serious health problems during the match.
"MieRo felt bad during the game, his nose started bleeding, his blood pressure spiked, and he felt a bit dizzy. The organizers were very helpful, and the doctor quickly measured everything and provided assistance. He went to the bathroom, washed up, and the game continued. We hope that MieRo's health will be good," Lukawa explained.
The match eventually resumed, and the BetBoom Team lost the second map. After the match, Vasyunin assured that he was fine.
"Hey guys, I'm okay. We played 1:1 with PSG Quest. Tomorrow we'll play against Tundra. It was just a minor nosebleed. The climate here is very dry, and sometimes my right nostril bleeds. My blood pressure went up a bit, but everything is okay, guys. Don't worry," MieRo expressed.
BetBoom Team is fighting to stay in Group B. The team is in sixth place with a 4-8 map score. The final standings will be determined after the matches on July 14.
The Riyadh Masters 2024 runs from July 4 to 21 in Saudi Arabia, with participants competing for $5 million. Team Spirit is also representing Eastern Europe at the tournament.
