Dota 2 streamer Alexander “Nix” Levin shared his recommendations for players using Pudge. He believes that purchasing Aghanim's Scepter makes the hero valuable in any match.

“If you’re playing Pudge in the offlane, buy Aghanim's Scepter, and you’ll always have a high net worth and be useful,” Nix advised. “The days when you could buy Blink Dagger as your first item and dominate the map are over,” explained Alexander “Nix”.
