Nix Explains Why He Lost Interest in Dota 2

Streamer Alexander "Nix" Levin explained what he dislikes about Dota 2, saying he lost interest when the developers started simplifying various mechanics.

"I don't blame Valve for making Dota 2 easier. It just killed my interest. There are games where I can make an impact myself, like Valorant and CS 2. Dota stopped being that kind of game," Nix said.

Addressing why IceFrog remains anonymous, Levin said, "Any sensible person understands that media exposure is harmful. Imagine if everyone knew what IceFrog looked like. He wouldn't be able to go to the store or travel without being questioned about patches. He can live his life without that burden. Media exposure isn't cool."

Earlier, Levin named the main favorites for the Play-In stage of the Riyadh Masters 2024, predicting no surprises in the preliminary phase.
