Streamer Alexander "Nix" Levin provided a proper example of investments among esports players in Dota 2. He mentioned that former Alliance carry Nikolay "Nikobaby" Nikolov invested his prize money in buying and renovating apartments.
"There was a star on the scene, Nikobaby. He invested all his salaries and prize money in buying dilapidated apartments. Then he renovated them through his Romanian [Bulgarian] guys; I don't remember his nationality. As a result, he now has a bunch of apartments in prime areas. I heard he's almost a baron now. Very successful in life. This is a great example of investments," Levin noted.
Nikobaby stopped competing professionally in 2022. He earned over $454,000 in prize money during his career. In 2024, Nikolov returned to Alliance, but not as a player. It's unknown what his specific role is in the club. The former esports player is also building a bootcamp for professional teams, documenting the process on social media.
