Nix Talks About Team Spirit's Revolutionary Approach in Dota 2

Streamer Alexander "Nix" Levin once again expressed his respect for Team Spirit manager Dmitry "Korb3n" Belov. He believes the specialist managed to revolutionize the professional Dota 2 scene. He thinks Belov can find people with the right psychological mindset.

When asked about the revolutionary approach of Team Spirit, Nix said, "It's in Korb3n. He didn't just look for people with specific game skills. Of course, they had to have them. Korb3n looked for people with a certain mentality that he believed in as a championship mindset. He understood that skills could be improved with a coach over time. But mentality will show the difference over time compared to others."

"You can now take the best players or those who have potential. Those who think correctly and have discipline, approach, work ethic, confidence, and so on. Korb3n's trick is that he talks to a person before the test and evaluates them. It doesn't mean he doesn't look at gaming skills. But it's just not the main thing."

When asked about Cheshir, Nix said, "Yes, 100%. But if Korb3n wasn't such a cool person, Silent wouldn't have joined Team Spirit. He would have chosen another team. Korb3n himself wrote to him, offered to become a coach, and saw potential in him. When Yatoro joined them, he was ranked 250-300. You need skills to see potential in him. Essentially, who even knew about Collapse? He's a tier-1 hard player in the world. He played for Cascade Esports all his life and was of no use to anyone. And Korb3n unearthed this gem and revealed him. He believed in Yarik [Miposhka] when no one did."

The Dota community highly values Korb3n's contribution to Team Spirit's success on the world stage. Together with him, the club won The International 2021, PGL Major Arlington, Riyadh Masters 2023, The International 2023, and other tournaments.

Earlier, Team Spirit failed to defend their title at the Riyadh Masters 2024. They lost to PSG Quest in the lower bracket playoffs 1:2. The team finished in the top 8 and earned $200,000.
