Ns About Lenagol0vach’s Team: "Nix Says The Truth, Then They're Pushing It."

Analyst Yaroslav "NS" Kuznetsov commented on the scandal involving the LenaGol0vach team at BetBoom Streamers Battle Season 6 in Dota 2. He had suspicions about the lineup's integrity but didn't take any action.

"I've heard that the fifth player on the LenaGol0vach team, along with rostislav_999, was some buddy of Rostik's with around 6,000 MMR. Roughly speaking, remember when I invited ShkeepeR to the first Streamers Battle, where we took second place? People asked me, 'Who is ShkeepeR?' He's my buddy with around 6.5-7 thousand MMR. Well, at that time it was around that. And that's it. It was true: he's some buddy of mine, not well-known, although he's a streamer, and he has 7,000 MMR. It's the same thing here—just some random guy.

But over time, suspicions arose that these guys weren't anywhere near 6,000 MMR. We played against them, and it's clear they're not close to 6,000 MMR based on all their moves, not even close, much higher. It's hard to estimate how much, but it's clear the person knows exactly what they're doing. They pull creep waves, move skillfully, gank, are very active, good at pressing buttons, and so on. I immediately understood that it smelled like a scam. But frankly, I don't give a damn—it smells and that's it.

Anyone who regularly watches my streams might have noticed that I asked several times who this guy was playing. He's playing on some boosted account; you can check it on Dotabuff. It's clear it's a boosted account: it has played a million matches as a carry and mid, and those games were played back in 2017. It's some kind of shady-boosted account. Some smurf, someone's account they pulled out of their ass, and this guy is playing on it.

That already raises suspicions right away. Like, why isn't he playing on his account? Where's his account? Let's assume he hasn't played for many years, and now he's returned to participate in the tournament. Then why is he playing as a 'four' and so damn well, when he's a midlaner and carries on his account? All of this raises a ton of questions." - Yaroslav "NS" Kuznetsov

Kuznetsov thanked Alexander "Nix" Levin, who investigated the situation. NS agrees with the streamer that the LenaGolovach team should be disqualified if the accusations are true.

"Nix just confirmed these concerns. It wasn't just me who had these thoughts—many others did too. He just confirmed it by conducting some investigation. <...> Here I respect Nix; he really persisted. And he spent time, really got involved. Everyone understands, but not everyone is inclined to investigate, and he took it upon himself: he checked everything thoroughly and dug deep.

Considering that neither LenaGol0vach nor rostislav_999 provided any reasonable explanations... If you're not involved, if it's really all nonsense and there's a clear explanation of whose account it is and who the person is, then people would immediately write: 'This is all complete BS, let me explain it all in a circle, write a post, and explain everything.' If you don't have such an explanation, then you don't write anything, because you don't know what to do—you're in a bad situation

Considering that no one said anything... I understand that most likely something is fishy there. If this is indeed the case—if the admins must check and confirm it—then they're pushing it.

Maybe not everyone playing there is aware of it. Andrey "Dukalis" Kuropatkin, might not be aware at all. They just invited him, and he came; he may know nothing about it. Perhaps nobody there knows somehow. But it's hardly believable.

If everything is as Nix writes, then they're pushing it. What else can I say? Because this is the deception of organizers, opponents, and viewers. Bets are placed in this tournament and so on. But this is if it's confirmed that it was all like that. In that case, yeah, I'm shocked. Naturally, it's just disqualification from the tournament. Nothing else can happen. Plus, a shameful column for such behavior. But let's see what the admins say. There's no insider info. We were told the decision would come later." - Yaroslav "NS" Kuznetsov

On April 24th, Nix suspected the LenaGol0vach team of playing unfairly. He believes there's a member in the lineup who deceived the organizers by understating their rating. On the 25th, Levin posted various evidence of unfair play on Telegram.

BetBoom Streamers Battle Season 6 is taking place online from April 22nd to 28th. Participants are competing for two million rubles. The tournament organizers have not yet commented on the situation with the LenaGol0vach team.
