NS about the reasons for Valve's refusal of the Battle Pass

Streamer and former professional player Yaroslav 'NS' Kuznetsov stated on his personal Telegram channel that he doesn’t understand the outrage directed at Valve regarding the quality of the Compendium for The International 2024.

He expressed that the criticism of the Compendium is both puzzling and surprising. Kuznetsov noted that the old Battle Pass, which included various items, is effectively equivalent to the Fallen Crown and is even conditionally free, as Valve had promised. He pointed out that all the chests, bundles, immortals, arcanas, and other cosmetics are still available, but the Compendium is now a different concept (since last year). According to Kuznetsov, Valve has a plan that they are sticking to, which aims to distinguish between casual gaming and esports while also reducing the prize pool for The International to prevent it from feeling like the only major tournament of the year.

Previously, Kuznetsov had commented on the predictable drafting strategy of BetBoom Team, noting it as a potential weakness.
