NS: "Casters have never had high salaries. The job isn't very demanding"

Russian analyst and streamer Yaroslav "NS" Kuznetsov discussed the salaries of Dota 2 casters. According to him, the industry doesn't offer inflated wages due to irregular work schedules.

"If it's not someone like Maelstorm, but just some unknown guy, the salary isn't very high. It might be around a thousand dollars, not astronomical sums. It's okay, but not super high.

For those who are more serious, the salary is higher. Top casters like Maelstorm and 4ce are usually also signed by bookmakers. They receive additional salaries. They are paid because they have a social media presence where they are active, and some of them stream."

"Casters have never had high salaries. Frankly speaking, the job isn't very demanding. People cast for two weeks, and then have nothing for two months, yet they still get paid. Everyone understands that the job isn't demanding and isn't super structured. Maybe at some point, you work two weeks for 10 hours a day without weekends. Yeah, it's tough, but then you have a month without work, and you still get paid," Yaroslav "NS" Kuznetsov shared his views.

Previously, Paragon Events CEO Sergey Posashkov stated that top commentators could earn $300 for covering a single Dota 2 or CS 2 match. You can read about this and more in the text below.
