NS Explained What Solo Needs to Do to Continue His Career
Streamer and analyst Yaroslav "NS" Kuznetsov discussed the future of Alexey "Solo" Berezin after his departure from the 9Pandas Dota 2 roster. He believes that the esports player can join a new team only if a major organization recruits him.
When asked if Solo will make a comeback, Kuznetsov said, "I don’t see anything extraordinary about it. The question is, does he need a team to come back? Will he find one? It seems not so easy now. You fall into the trap of a player who hasn’t had good results for a long time. You stop appearing at the tier-1 level, and it becomes harder to negotiate with good players. They think, 'Why bother, I’ll wait for better offers.' Can Solo find the right team?
There’s a rumor that Solo might sign with Virtus.pro—it would be a meme, but why not? Suppose it happens: he’s signed, given a big budget for player signings. If this happens, a comeback is quite possible. But if he just gathers a mix without support and salaries, I don’t really believe in his success. It’s very difficult to find four good players who will play with Lyokha with enthusiasm."
On July 12, 9Pandas moved Berezin to the bench and listed him for transfer. Vladimir "Maelstorm" Kuzminov reported that the support player received an invitation from Virtus.pro. Solo also released a post outlining his future plans. For now, he wants to take a break but will try to find a new team later.
