NS speculated on the release date of the TI13 compendium

Streamer and analyst Yaroslav "NS" Kuznetsov speculated about the release of the thematic event for The International 2024 in Dota 2. He believes the event will begin in August.

"Currently, we are in the third act of 'The Fallen Crown.' The fourth act will probably come after The International because, likely, something like a compendium will appear sometime in August after Riyadh Masters 2024. So there will be some events to keep people entertained. For example, team bundles, stickers, etc. — things that will fill the prize pool for TI.

Probably, a new hero [Ringmaster] will be released with it. How else can you fill the prize pool for The International? Of course, if Valve doesn't want a repeat of last year's TI, where no one was interested in buying it. For example, they could release a new hero and include an item for him in the compendium, a cool set, or arcana. Then people will buy it. <...> This is just a guess [about Ringmaster], but the compendium will be 100%," NS expressed.

In the summer of 2023, Valve announced they would not release the annual Battle Pass for The International 2023. Instead, a thematic event focused on players and matches replaced it. The championship ultimately raised only $3.3 million in prize money, the lowest since The International 2013.

The International 2024 will take place from September 4 to 15 in Copenhagen, Denmark. The starting prize pool for the championship is $1.6 million. At the time of publication, Valve has not announced a thematic compendium for the tournament.
