Analyst Yaroslav "NS" Kuznetsov commented on the release of the third act in the "Crownfall" event in Dota 2. He believes the developers might be hinting at PvE content in the final part of the event.
"As expected, the update brought a new act of the catacombs and a chest. They say the new act includes a fighting mini-game (something like Flappy Bird from the second act) and other secrets and fun stuff."
"I'm encouraged by two facts. First, the event has been extended to mid-October, meaning the final act will either come out much later or be very long. Dataminers suggest the release will be after The International 2024, but that's not certain. Second, the text ends with: 'Looking forward to the final battle with the Queen Empire! See you there.' This suggests the last act might indeed be a PvE event, and the fight with the Empire will be literal. Ah, dreams."
"P.S. The chest contains very sexy sets, if you know what I mean. Especially the ultra-rare Pudge set," Kuznetsov said.
Previously, dataminer DOTA_DM published a potential start date for the fourth act of Crownfall, titled "Skywrack Spires," suggesting it could be September 21. Valve has officially extended the catacombs until mid-October 2024.
