Off-season reshuffles

The 2024 edition of The International ended with Team Liquid’s victory, sparking the usual wave of roster changes across the Dota 2 scene. After disappointing losses, several teams opted to adjust their lineups.

Former Team Spirit players Ilya 'Raddan' Mulyarchuk and Miroslav 'Mira' Kolpakov were the first to announce a break from the season, citing exhaustion from the previous year. They reassured fans that they were not quitting the game or the professional scene but needed time away to recharge. Shortly after, Danil 'gpk' Skutin and Alexander 'TORONTOTOKYO' Hertek from BetBoom Team followed suit with similar announcements.

Roman 'RAMZES666' Kushnarev took a different approach, opting for a brief vacation without ruling out future offers. Tundra Esports saw major roster changes as Ivan 'Pure' Moskalenko returned to BetBoom Team, and RAMZES666 re-joined L1GA Team after being on loan to Tundra for the season. BetBoom Team seems poised to build a new lineup around Pure, though Vitaly 'save-' Melnik’s future with the team remains unclear.

Cloud9 faced a sudden disbandment after revealing a new roster for the BetBoom Dacha qualifiers. The lineup, which included Vladimir 'No[o]ne' Minenko and Dmitry 'DM' Dorokhin, fell apart after failing to meet the roster lock deadline due to last-minute player withdrawals.

Nigma Galaxy parted ways with Kuro 'KuroKy' Salehi Takhasomi, replacing him with former PSG.Quest players Omar 'OmaR' Mograbi and Tony 'No!ob' Assaf. The team has shown promise in the BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 qualifiers, marking their return to LAN events.

OG also restructured, keeping Sébastien 'Ceb' Debs but losing their star player, Bozhidar 'bzm' Bogdanov, who went inactive. The team added Leon 'Nine' Kirilin and Nuengnara '23savage' Tiramasanon, though the community doubts this will significantly improve OG’s performance.

Natus Vincere surprised many by announcing a roster for DreamLeague Season 24 that included Clement 'Puppey' Ivanov. Puppey later clarified that he was helping old friends and would soon reveal Team Secret’s new lineup.

Virtus.pro, after a series of disappointing performances, made minimal changes. They replaced Artem 'fng' Barshak with Alexander 'Immersion' Khmelevsky but kept the rest of the roster intact, despite earlier hints of a major rebuild.

With the BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 and DreamLeague Season 24 approaching, many teams are expected to make further adjustments after these tournaments, as the reshuffle chaos is likely to continue when players return from their short breaks.
