NextUp coach Vladislav "Petushara" Kozlovsky criticized the new features of patch 7.36 for Dota 2. He is not pleased with the game becoming too complicated for newcomers.
"Damn 'Dota'! Why does Valve keep adding so much stuff? How will there be any player growth if the game is so complicated? What kind of player growth can we even talk about? You'll get used to all this if you play a lot. Because of this, 'Dota' forces you to play a lot. Either you play a hell of a lot, or you'll just be an odd one out because you don't know how some spells work," Vladislav "Petushara" Kozlovsky made his frustration heard.
Patch 7.36 was released on May 23. The developers made balance changes, added built-in passive abilities to each hero, and introduced aspects. Alongside the update, the second act of the "Fallen Crown" event began. On June 6, the developers released update 7.36b, modifying some characters.
In early January, Kozlovsky became the coach of NextUp. This marks his debut as a coach. The team's most significant achievement under his guidance was securing second place at the Sber Tournament, earning him $2,000.
