Former esports player Peter “ppd” Dager criticized Valve's pricing policy for tickets to The International 2024 for Dota 2. He believes that the stands will have the fewest spectators.
“The last TI in Seattle was expensive, but fans still came because of their love for the game and the legacy of the tournament in that city. Even though Dota 2 is much more popular in Europe, the absurdly high prices will lead to the lowest sales ever,” estimated Peter “ppd” Dager.
Tickets for The International 2024 will go on sale on June 10. Attending all three days will cost fans around 61,300 roubles. Ticket prices can be found in our news article. At TI12, the cost for the last three days was $699 (~62,000 roubles).
The International 2024 will take place from September 4 to 15 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Representing Eastern Europe at the event will be the BetBoom Team and Team Spirit, with one more participant to be determined through the regional qualifiers.
