Pro players from China have started returning to local servers

Several prominent professional players from China have announced their intention to return to the Chinese servers in Dota 2 matchmaking. This includes Lu "Somnus" Yao, Du "Monet" Peng, Yin "Aq" Rui, Yang "Chalice" Shenyi, and Wang "Ame" Chunyu.

Top players from China had begun transitioning to the Asian matchmaking region some time ago for various reasons. According to these esports athletes, this shift has contributed to a decline in the competitiveness of the Chinese scene on the global stage.

Earlier, the esports organisation G2 announced the end of its collaboration with the Chinese club Invictus Gaming. The official announcement was made on G2's social media page on X.
