Quinn Faces Backlash After Toxic Behaviour in Ranked Match

Gaimin Gladiators' mid-laner Quinn "Quinn" Callahan has once again stirred controversy due to his behaviour in a ranked Dota 2 game. The incident involved a heated exchange with Egor "egxrdemxn" Miller, a player from Kazakhstan, who referenced a prior conflict between the two.

Egxrdemxn brought up Quinn’s previous promise to improve his behaviour:

“I’ve played with you before. Back then, there was an official statement where you said, ‘I’m working on myself, I’m trying to clear my mind, and I’ll change.’”

However, Quinn responded with an inflammatory remark:

“I haven’t changed. I hate you with all my soul and hope you die in agony. I hope you’re miserable your whole life and die alone.”

This exchange has reignited criticism of Quinn, particularly from the Russian-speaking Dota 2 community, which had previously condemned him for offensive comments about Russia during a matchmaking dispute. Following that earlier incident, Gaimin Gladiators issued a warning to Quinn, and he apologised publicly:

“I continue to work on myself, trying to speak less harshly in public games.”

The latest incident has sparked widespread disapproval among fans and players, raising questions about Quinn’s commitment to improving his in-game conduct. Gaimin Gladiators have not yet issued a formal statement on this specific conflict, but their previous response suggests they take such matters seriously.

This incident underscores ongoing issues with player behaviour in ranked games, especially among high-profile professionals, highlighting the need for stronger moderation and accountability in the Dota 2 community.
