Roman "RAMZES" Kushnarev, the carry of the L1GA Team, reflected on the absence of a ban for Tommy "Taiga" Le in the Dota 2 pro scene. He believes that if a player is truly involved in match-fixing, they should face punishment.
"How do I feel about Taiga? Well, I don't. Taiga is a very kind guy; I've often met him at LAN events. He's super positive. I've known him for a long time. What he did, whatever *** [stuff], let it be on his conscience. That's not my business. If he deserves it, let him face the consequences. If not... In CS, the guy would be banned in two seconds by ESIC or whatever it's called... In Dota, everyone couldn't care less. People just don't want to play with him, so he's not in a team. They understand that anything could happen with him in the team." - Roman "RAMZES" Kushnarev
On April 5, 2024, Morf released an investigation about Taiga. In it, the blogger showed conversations of the esports player with Alexander "Sensibility" Filatov, who is known for organizing match-fixing. After this, Taiga was kicked out of Leviatan, and the player himself announced that he had ended his career.
In early May, Nemiga Gaming manager Eduard "zverHDD" Ashurkevich reminded us that Taiga still hasn't been banned by any tournament operator. He also wrote about the situation to Valve representatives but never received a response.
