Resolut1on on Personal Growth Training and Role Flexibility in Dota 2

Professional player Roman "Resolut1on" Fominok recently shared insights into his personal growth journey and his approach to role flexibility in Dota 2.

Reflecting on his experience with personal growth training, Fominok highlighted the importance of distinguishing between facts and opinions. He expressed gratitude for the "Space for Development" training, emphasizing the value of making decisions based on facts rather than opinions. Fominok shared how this skill helped him navigate external opinions, realizing that they are merely subjective perspectives. He humorously noted the abundance of opinions in the world, suggesting that considering them all could lead to madness.

"In 'Space for Development' training, I learned to distinguish between facts and opinions... It's really cool when, firstly, in life, you have the ability to distinguish one from the other... No, not lunar, real facts. And secondly, to make decisions based on facts. This helped me a lot in dealing with opinions from others, which I used to take for facts mistakenly."

In addition to his personal growth journey, Fominok explained his penchant for switching roles in Dota 2. He expressed a need for constant stimulation and variety, stating that playing the same role for an extended period becomes monotonous for him. By changing roles, Fominok keeps his passion for the game alive, always setting new challenges for himself. He cited his flexibility in the TI finals, where he played as both a carry and an offlaner, hinting at the possibility of winning The International in a support role.

"I get bored playing one role for a thousand years and only developing in that... That's why I changed roles, to keep my fire for the game burning. This way, I always set new pedestals for myself."

Despite not competing professionally since 2023, Fominok expressed his readiness to return to the scene, particularly in a support position. However, he has yet to find a team to join. Fominok's near-term goals include finding a team, winning the Riyadh Masters 2024 and The International 2024, and then taking another break from competitive play.
