Professional player Roman "Resolut1on" Fominok discussed the feelings he aims to experience during ranked matches in Dota 2. The two-time finalist of The International shared his thoughts on stream.
"I wrote myself a reminder of the states I want to feel in the game: respect, compassion, leadership, support, love, and creativity," Fominok said. "We'll strive to maintain these."
When asked why compassion is important, Fominok explained, "To avoid tilting. I feel compassion for the Invoker, who solo died twice to Vengeful Spirit in the mid lane. Later, he buys Witch Blade late. He's learning to play; he has an 1800 rank, while his opponent has a 1300 rank. It's probably a big difference. He's not succeeding, but he's still trying: running around, pressing buttons. Because of this, I feel compassion for him instead of tilting," asserted Roman "Resolut1on" Fominok.
Previously, Fominok stated that modern Dota heavily relies on the play and interactions of the supports.
