Results of Team Falcons, Xtreme Gaming and Azure Ray in PGL Wallachia Season 1

Just three days into the group stage of PGL Wallachia Season 1, Team Falcons and Xtreme Gaming have already secured their places in the playoffs, leaving Azure Ray out of the running.

The tournament, which began last Friday, features a modified Swiss-system group stage with 16 teams. Although the competition spans five days, Team Falcons and Xtreme Gaming have wasted no time in locking down their playoff spots.

Team Falcons claimed their third tournament victory of the year at ESL One Birmingham 2024 and reached their fourth grand final. Xtreme Gaming, on the other hand, seized the title in the grand final of the Elite League, defeating Team Falcons 3-1.

With two more days of group matches remaining, half of the teams will be eliminated. Team Spirit is barely clinging on, facing significant struggles this season. Meanwhile, Shopify Rebellion, boasting two players from Nigma Galaxy, continues to fight. However, Team Secret and Team Liquid are in dire straits unless they can turn things around soon.

Azure Ray has been officially eliminated after losing all three of their series, falling to MOUZ, Nouns, and iG. The Chinese team replaced Blacklist International, who couldn't secure visas for the tournament.

Action resumes with Round 4.

PGL Wallachia Season 1 includes directly invited teams such as Team Falcons, Team Liquid, Team Secret, and others, as well as qualified teams like Tundra Esports and Virtus.pro. The event follows a modified Swiss-system group stage format, with the top eight teams advancing to the playoffs.

The playoffs, feature a double-elimination bracket with varying match formats, culminating in a best-of-five Grand Final.

The $1,000,000 prize pool will be distributed among the participating teams, with the champion taking home $300,000.
